From book clubs to running pods to crafting groups, our engagement pods aim to create a supportive, vibrant community where students feel valued, connected, and motivated to make a difference. By working together, we help students form real connections, develop leadership skills, and get the guidance they need to thrive. Let’s build something that leaves a legacy of empowered leaders and engaged individuals at the University of Alabama!
Goals
Our goal is to empower students to become proactive leaders and active members of the UA community. We’re all about organizing meetings that spark open communication, the exchange of ideas, and collaboration. With these pillars in mind, our engagement pods are designed to make a lasting impact on campus:
- Student Empowerment
- Create a space where students can share their ideas, concerns, and dreams, giving them the confidence to take charge of their college experience.
- Community Building
- Build a sense of belonging by hosting inclusive events, activities, and discussions that celebrate diversity and unity.
- Leadership Development
- Offer resources, workshops, and mentorship to help students develop the skills and knowledge to lead effectively in any role.
- Personal Growth
- Encourage self-discovery, resilience, and life skills through activities and conversations that support overall personal development.
Leaders
We are looking for students to serve as leaders of the Engagement Pods to lead small groups in the fall and spring semesters. University Programs will provide all materials and supplies to the group as well as assist with space reservations.
The Engagement Pod leadership application is currently closed.
